Speaking at a meeting held in Tehran on Sunday to benefit from the viewpoints of scholars and heads of the exhibition in past years, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamidreza Arbab Soleimani considered the Quran exhibition a symbol of unity of the Iranian Quranic community.
Referring to the special position of the Tehran International Quran Exhibition, he said it is considered one of the most valuable cultural events of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the current situation, the world is caught in three fundamental crises: political, moral, and economic, and the root of all these crises goes back to the moral crisis. The spirit of worldliness and welfare has spread in human societies, which has deepened global problems, he stated.
“The culture of worldliness and selfishness has affected societies, and these issues have exacerbated other crises. The cure for these ailments is familiarity with the Holy Quran and acting on its commands.”
He continued by quoting the Holy Quran, saying: God says in Surah Yunis, Verse 57: “O mankind! This is a reminder from your Lord and a healing for the hearts of the believers.”
He said that, therefore, if today’s world is to prosper, there is no other way than acting on the Quran.
Stating that the Holy Quran Exhibition can be a forum for presenting Quranic knowledge and achievements, he said the event is like a vast journey of divine knowledge, in which the country’s Quranic activists can share their experiences and innovations with others.
“We hope that the obstacles on the way to holding the 33rd edition of this exhibition will be removed so that we can witness a prestigious event worthy of the dignity of the Islamic Republic.”

Hojat-ol-Islam Arbab Soleimani also said, “So far, we have held nearly eight consultative meetings at the Supreme Quran Center and have benefited from the views and experiences of Quranic experts and managers (about organizing the expo).
“In the new stage, we also plan to use the opinions of experts and managers who have been responsible for holding the Quran exhibition in previous years, so that we can benefit from their valuable experiences in the way ahead.”
He went on to say, “We hope that the 33rd Quran Exhibition will be held with strength, careful planning, and utilizing all cultural, artistic, and media capacities. This exhibition is a place to present Quranic works and products and transfer the experiences of activists in this field.”
He concluded by saying that the Quran exhibition is not just a visual event, but should be a place for education, experience, and familiarization with the teachings of the Quran.
Also speaking at the meeting was Ali Reza Moaf, a former culture ministry deputy, who said the international Quran exhibition is a great phenomenon and a blessing of the Islamic system and revolution, which was formed under the strategic vision of Imam Khomeini (RA) and Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and must be held with maximum power and magnificence.
Pointing out that international Quran competitions and exhibitions demonstrate the high status of the Quran in the Islamic Republic, he added that these events are clear signs of giving priority to the Quran in the country’s cultural policies.
